We are happy to announce that a service update for our LEGO Minifigure App for iOS is now available at the AppStore. It resolves a nasty bug when browsing the heads section. This problem did not occur in the Android version and hence not update is necessary. The 2012 data is in progress.

eBooks of new catalogs available
I have been able to create eBooks for the three new books released recently. They are now in plain PDF without any DRM. You should be able to read them straight on your tablet. Have a look at them at Lulu:
- The 2012 LEGO Minifigure Catalog
- The 2011 LEGO Minifigure Catalog
- The Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Catalog
The updates for the App is also on its way. Stay tuned.
New Books Available
I am happy to announce that three new books are now available. First to mention is The 2012 LEGO Minifigure Catalog. On its 170 pages it contains more than 500 minifigures that were released in 2012. I have even been able to include photographs for the ultra rare Super Heroes ComicCon and Toyfair Minifigures (thanks Dan, Greg & Huw!).
Second, I updated The 2011 LEGO Minifigure Catalog. In this second edition, many corrections and addititions have been incorporated. The book has now 146 pages and also uses the new layout introduced in the 2012 catalog.
Last, I would like to mention the second edition of The Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Catalog. This second edition includes all the 2012 Star Wars Minifigures and I am proud to have a photograph for every minifigure. The book also contains a new name index.
All books are available immediately on CreateSpace and they will all soon show up on Amazon.com. I hope that you enjoy the books and I would like to thank everybody that helped creating them.
More Photos
I imported another 564 new photos into the database. Frans was so kind to allow me to photograph many rare and wonderful figures last weekend. Now it is another sorting session ahead of me. Looks like there is enough material to also justify a second edition on the figure book.
Minifigure Photographs on Car
Wendy Land from Bricks4Kidz used some of my Minifigure photographs on her LEGO Mobile. The car looks great!
The price of LEGO
Andrew Sielen wrote an interesting article on the price of LEGO. Many AFOLs and non-AFOLs are under the impression that LEGO has become more expensive over time, but that is not the case. Andrew presents a thorough analysis of the historical data. Interesting read!
5000 Golden Minifigures
Collectible Minifigures Series 10 is expected to contain a rare golden minifigure in addition to the normal serving of sixteen designs. LEGO is intending to limit the randomly distributed golden minifigures to 5000 worldwide. Of course they will become truly collectible items and I am worried that we will have another insanely expensive piece of plastic. The 2012 Toy Fair exclusives, Captain America and Iron Man, are currently for sale for a whopping 5000 USD each! Seriously, go and buy yourself a car, enjoy a nice vacation, safe the money for the education of your kids.
Collectible Series 9 Arrived
Series 9 arrived in New Zealand and I got my hands on a complete set (thanks Sammy!). The silver packaging looks smashing. Can’t wait to get them in front of my lens.
New Polybags arrived
The 2012 edition is making some progress. Today Hulk and Chase McCain arrived. I wonder how these two got along during the time they spend together in the envelope :-)
The dwarfs arrived
Today I received an “Unexpected Package”. All the Hobbit Minifigures arrived! More photos for the upcoming 2012 catalog…
