My birthday is coming up, so what better way to celebrate this event than by giving all of you a little present. The Unofficial LEGO Minifigure App will be for free until October 3rd. This is your best chance to get the app, so tell your friends about it! Notice that the app comes with the original data that was also published in the book, meaning 1975-2010. The recent years are available as in-app purchases.

Minifigure Ice Bucket Challenge
I thought that Patrick Steward had the final word on the ice bucket challenge. But I was wrong. The minifigures have the last word!

New Versions of 2012 and Star Wars Catalog Available
I am happy to announce that the 2nd edition of the 2012 LEGO Minifigure Catalog and the 3rd edition of the Star Wars LEGO Minifigure Catalog are now available. The later contains all the photographs and data of the 2013 Minifigures in addition to several corrections and extensions. The 2nd edition of the 2012 catalog contains mainly additions and some minor corrections. The Minifigures from the Arkham Asylum, for example, have been added to the catalog. I hope you enjoy the books.
The 2013 LEGO Minfigure Catalog is available
I am proud to announce that the 2013 LEGO Minfigure Catalog is now available. It has been a slightly more difficult process this year but it has been a full success in the sense that the catalog is very complete. I have been able to make photographs of every Minifigure thanks to Frans Snijders-Blok and Alex Cudworth.
Free Upgrade for App Available
We are happy to announce that a free upgrade for our App is available. It now has the Collectible Series 11 and the LEGO Move Collectibles. Fire up your app and go to the settings tab. There you can find the upgrade information. We hope you enjoy the new photographs.
Mr. ReBrick got his model shot for the Minifigure Catalog
The LEGO company is currently promoting its REBRICK website and asked selected LUGs around the world for their participation. Our LUG 4/2 decided to join, so I took Mr. ReBrick to take his model shoot for the Unofficial LEGO Minifigure Catalog. Here is the photo setup and the resulting photograph. Isn’t he just made for being a photo model?
Interview on The Collectors Show
Harold Nicoll from The Collectors Show interviewed me about the Minifigure Catalogs. His podcast is interesting for all sort of collectors. You can listen to the broadcast on Web Talk Radio. Here is the MP3 Download of the interview.
LEGO Space – Building the Future
I have been looking for a descent space theme for some time. The current space themes are just too exotic for me. Too many bugs, creatures and just weirdness. How about some more realistic space fantasies? The Gravity movie gave a good example of how exciting space can be even without Starship Troopers. It looks like my prayers have been heard:
The new book LEGO Space: Building the Future looks like a very promising book that I am certain to order.
