The year in LEGO
It is the time of the year when we start to think about what happened this years. In LEGO style, of course. The Guradian put together an amazing Flickr Gallery that collects contemporary LEGO scenes:
What does the Minifigure look like inside?
Finally I know what the Minifigures look like on the inside. Not much different from me:
LEGO Lord of the Rings is coming in 2012
LEGO announced that they will release sets in the Lord of the Rings theme in 2012! This will certainly include interesting Minifigures. Given that LEGO produced already Dwarfs, Elves, Orks, Wizards and all sort of other creatures, it does seem almost like low hanging fruits to design sets and figures for Lord of the Rings. Fans already produced many scenes from the movies, including The Last March of the Ents which includes an enormous Isengard. The only figure that might be a design challenge could be Gollum. I also wonder how Frodo is going to put on the ring, since Minfigures do not have any fingers.

LEGO Store in Köln
During my around the world trip I also stopped in the beautiful city of Köln, Germany. It features a dedicated LEGO store and it was nice to see the nearly complete product range in one place. They even had a wall full of Minifigures. I asked them how they were organized, but they told me that it was just random. What a pity. :-)

The Collectible Minifigures Series 6 has shown up on the LEGO website. Lets hope that they become available soon.
